About Spoilering
Spoilering is a community-built library of full spoiler summaries for shows, films and books. It's meant for when you come back to something after a while and need to remember what happened before continuing. You won't find ratings or reviews — just the facts of the story.
Yes, Spoilering is completely free. Creating an account costs nothing.
No. You can read every published entry without signing up. An account is only needed to contribute by creating entries, suggesting corrections or tracking what you've seen or read.
Entries
An entry is the full summary of a work. It's split into accordion sections: Setup, Conflict, Resolution and Subplots. Each section covers part of the story with all the relevant detail and spoilers. It also includes metadata like cast, director, runtime, genres and external links.
Yes, every entry contains full spoilers. That's exactly the point: refreshing your memory without re-watching or re-reading the whole work. We warn you before showing the content so you can decide.
The community writes them. Any registered user can create a new entry or suggest corrections to existing ones. We also use AI as a starting point, but content is always reviewed and improved by people.
We do our best to keep content accurate, but as a community-built site mistakes can slip in. If you spot something wrong, you can suggest a correction directly from the entry using the "Suggest correction" button on each section.
Yes. With an account, every entry has a "My activity" panel where you can mark the work as watched, add a date and write personal notes. Your full history lives in your profile.
Contributing
Sign in and use the "+ Add a work" button in the top bar or on the home page. Search for the work in our database (connected to TMDb and Google Books) or enter the data manually. New users can create up to 5 entries, which stay pending review before being published.
On each entry section you'll find a "Suggest correction" button. Write how the text should read and we'll review it. You don't need to be the original author to suggest changes.
New entries stay in "Pending review" until an editor or admin approves and publishes them. You can check the status of your entries from your profile.
Yes. From your profile you can send up to 5 invites per month. The invitee gets an email to create their account directly.
